On an evening out at a friend’s farm with the telescope checking out planets, nebulae, and star clusters, we were treated to a small aurora display which caught their outbuildings in a lovely silhouette. Low on the horizon, she was not a strong show and it was simply happenstance that I caught anything at all. I love how the sky above the spiral is a deep purple.
